Mayeul is a combative central midfielder who joined the club in February 2010 to offer more competition for the holding midfield role. Equally happy playing in the centre of midfield or as a full-back on either flank Mayeul is solid in the tackle and a good passer of the football. The Frenchman, who hails from Nimes, is well built and is also a very good striker of the football. In his homeland he played regular football for Castelnaudary Olympique Club (1990-1998), Toulouse Fontaines Club (1998-2000) and for four seasons for FC Paris Centre before taking a break from the game in 2005. Having been out of the competitive game for over five years he will be looking to regain his match sharpness at Sporting Hinton whilst also making an impressive on the starting XI.
